:
Easily the strongest and longest-lasting free flight carabiners on the market

While in use, paragliding carabiners are loaded and unloaded at varying rates (depending on pilot weight, thermal activity, type of flying, etc.) and this load can lie between 10 and 110 kg and more. The average value of fatigue endurance for the CHARLY Pin-lock Carabiner has been proven at 425 Kg!
Loading Capacity: Breaking load is 2500 kg.
Features:
- Quick-pin: self-securing quick-pins have been in use for many years in aviation construction. Quick-pins have long been used by various hang glider manufacturers and utilised for the control bar corners and for the pilot hang in. In the branch of rehabilitation technology more than 1 million quick-pins are in failure-free operation.
- Carabiner housing: Pin-Lock Carabiners are drop-forged and not bent from round rods and subsequently embossed (as conventional paraglider carabiners are). While bending generally tends to lead to a weakening of the material, drop-forging results in a high material solidification. The strength of the titanal used lies in the range of good stainless steel, and yet is approximately a third the weight. This material is also used in highly loaded aircraft and rocket components.
- Security line: the replaceable security line of the quick-pin is made from high quality nylon, developed for deep offshore fishing by Du Pont.
- Handling: the attachment of the Pin-Lock Carabiner to the risers is similar to conventional carabiners. There are two safety steps preventing unintentional opening: the pressing of the release button and the pulling of the pin in the opposite direction. The separating of the risers after landing is simpler with the Pin Lock.
- Safety: the Pin-Lock has separate harness chambers. Transverse loading is thus avoided. The quick-pin is integrated in the carabiner in such a way as to eliminate the possibility of paraglider lines becoming caught up.
