Dallas Day Monday April 7 Posted by Paul Mc on Mon, 04/07/2008 - 16:16 in
04/07/2008 - 19:00 Wind Speed at Launch (km/h): 15km/h Wind Direction at Launch: SW Flight Duration (min): 75min Maximum Altitude (ft): 75ft I arrived at about 1:45 to find Charlie, Rick , Phil and Annelies all kiting and trying to fly in some east wind. There was some success with some ups and downs. Finally it switched and we all got to fly. It did get a little gusty and things got a little tight with Bruce coming along as well. I landed and helped Rick get in the air. The wind picked up and eventually all landed with great flights to be had! Charlie and Phil and Bruce packed it up as Carlos was arriving. Rick and I chatted for a while. Carlos launched, I was about to leave and thought, ' why am I not flying again? ' Rick and I looked at each other, dragged our gear out and took off for another amazing flight. I eventually headed toward the point hoping to cross. Eventually got enough height and made it to the apt. building for some great soaring. Shortly after, Carlos joined me and then on my way back , Rick was making his way across with success! We headed back and flew around, doing dolphins and wing overs with lots of room for all three of us ! It started to swing west and pick up so we landed and milked it to the end!!! Wind Speed at Landing (km/h): 20km/h Wind Direction at Landing: SW Fellow Pilots flying with you: ElCamino Rock Star Leonardo Link: |

Great to get out and get some air time with friends. Hopping the point was a lot of fun. I finally got to see what the sore line looks like from an entirely different perspective. Very cool! I will say that wearing a t-shirt and windbreaker leaves a fella kind of cold at about the hour mark though. Lesson learned.
