Early evening soaring

Paul and I take a late window.

The wind was showing south at Dallas in the morning but I had work to do on the 'Para-Hangar' so I tried to pretend that that wasn't the case.

And then Paul sent me a message around 11:30am,
"It's on at Dallas. I'm heading there now". Argh.

My pace quickened and I managed to get down there by 2:30pm (after Paul already had flown for 1.5hrs or so) but the wind was too strong. Straight in mind you, but too strong. Charlie, Paul, and I parawaited but to no avail.

After running some errands, Paul and I reconvened close to 6pm and decided to test out the still-strong wind and we ended up flying our fill and were joined by Carlos and then Amir.

I sent Jaron down to the beach with Hannah and, when I later flew over them, Hannah spotted me and I couldn't shake her! She ended up climbing up the cliff and running along the path from near Cook Street - all the way down to Clover Point! I just might have to consider taking her tandem one day...

The weather was quite unstable all day with hail, rain, sun, and lots of cumulus development but the winds kept pumping from the SW at Dallas until the sun set.
