Flying-filled Saturday!

Our first real taste of summer

A BIG crew of pilots took advantage of the warm and sunny Saturday weather and descended upon the training hill. We had nice wind conditions throughout the morning which allowed for multiple flights by all.

DayTaster participant Jordan managed a few good flights by the time we left at noon and both Hans and Grant showed steady progress. Johnathan showed up and got a feel for his new Airwave KISS.

Hannah received special permission as the VIParagliding mascot to run free on the hill and we even had Bud and Maxine's grandchildren selling lemonade and cookies!

John Smith was the lone hang glider at the hill today and he had two smooth flights on his new Wills Wing glider. Check out the video!

We then made a run for the Malahat and got Charlie, Rick, Lee (first-timer), Trask (first-timer), Shabe, Natalie (first-timer), and then myself with Jordan on tandem all airborne! Wind on launch was quite light as the sun was dropping behind launch but the air was super buoyant and the views to die for (and a HUGE beach to finish with).

And, to end the day, Charlie squeezed in a sunset flight at Dallas!
