Student Hat Tricks

Two tandems for Aaron from Vancouver!
And three solos flights each for Grant and Natalie!

Shabe, Grant, Natalie, Paul and I joined DayTaster participant Aaron from Vancouver on the 9am sailing for Saltspring (Aaron caught the 7am ferry from Vancouver and made the connection!). The forecast was for light winds and sunny skies with highs of 17 or 18 but high cirrus cloud seemed present for most of the day so it never felt as warm as expected.

A group of pilots tried their luck at Mt Prevost and it sounds like lots of flights happened there as well.

By the end of our day on Saltspring, Aaron had not one but two tandem flights (a first for Saltspring) and although he didn't get to fly solo from the training hill, he did get to try his hand at both reverse and forward inflations - showing natural ability at both. Way to go Aaron!

Both Grant and Natalie had their most flights in one day with three each and loved being able to build on each subsequent one.

Shabe got a chance to try out his new KORTEL Kamasutra II harness and loved it!
And, in addition to instructing Natalie and Grant on launch, Paul drove retrieve twice and still managed to get a flight in! You rock Paul!
