What is the difference between a Hang glider and a Paraglider?

A Hang glider has a rigid frame maintaining the shape of the glider with the pilot usually flying in a prone position. A Paraglider canopy shape is maintained primarily by air pressure and the pilot is suspended in a sitting or supine position. Both types of aircraft fly have similar flying characteristics with a hang glider generally being capable of flying at higher speeds while a paraglider is capable of flying in weaker conditions and landing in smaller areas.
