Week of 01/26/2008 - 17:00 to 02/02/2008 - 16:59

Having a "day off" we slept in (as much as possible considering we are all a bit jet-lagged) and yet still found ourselves on the Sarangkot launch by 11:30am or so.

Lee was off first ("no sense wasting a good cycle") - launching before the Russians is always recommended (right Charlie?). Cornell, Brett, Evangeline, and I soon followed. The thermals were a bit 'spicy' with the most cumulus development we've seen yet. Strong climbs up to 2000' over launch.

Where do I start?

As I type this, Brett, Lee, and Cornell are next door still revelling in the day over some Nepali Ice (local beer) while Evangeline is next to me checking her email.

We started the day a bit earlier today with a plan to get a gentle flight in first before the stronger conditions started up.

I launched first with the intention to fly down and help Evangeline land (it was her first solo flight since Hawaii last year!).

The house thermal was producing some smooth thermals so I boated around waiting for her to launch.
