Only ~1hr of flyable wind at Dallas today and Charlie gets it!

Those of you who know me, know that I have a 'thing' with coincidences. Either they tend to follow me around and pop up on a regular basis (my theory) or I just see serendipity rearing it's head where it really hasn't (skeptics view). In either case, spend some time with me and you'll see what I mean.

No repeat of Wednesday

Paul, Rick, Charlie, and I boarded the ferry yet again even though the fore casted "sunny skies with highs of 13" weren't materializing. Once we arrived at the LZ, however, the high cirrus cloud burned off and the sun was out and Cu's were forming!

A day to remember

Not to be discouraged by yesterday's results, Rick, Charlie, Paul, and I gave Lower Bruce another try today.

It is late now and I need some sleep before (hopefully) having a repeat of today's flying.
Suffice it to say that we each had two flights and logged hours of airtime, with a lot of it spent at cloud base. Paul and I even managed to land at the Maxwell LZ.

Extended sledders all around

Charlie and Kuno joined up with Rick, Paul, Torge, and I at the Lower Bruce LZ where conditions looked promising with large cumulus clouds hovering invitingly over the mountains.

Lots of fresh snow greeted us up at the half way mark but didn't impede our progress much. Launch itself was blanketed with the white stuff which actually made for easy line clearing.
