Chasing the wind The day started with Paul, Grant, and I missing the ferry by only 2 cars. Ugh. DayTaster participants Hans and Monica waved as they made it on. (Click image for more pics -> ) Two and a half hours later, we hooked up with them and headed up to Lower Bruce launch where conditions were good.

Back to the Malahat and then Dallas

Paul and I take a late window.

The wind was showing south at Dallas in the morning but I had work to do on the 'Para-Hangar' so I tried to pretend that that wasn't the case.

And then Paul sent me a message around 11:30am,
"It's on at Dallas. I'm heading there now". Argh.

Past student Trask hooked up with me at Dallas Rd this morning to continue the training he'd begun years back. The wind was light and switchy, but he managed to put in a some good hours of forward launching and basic reverse kiting. Lots of good progress Trask - you've definitely retained lots!
