New gliders for Grant and Hans!

Today was by far one of the best Training Hill days I've seen in nearly a decade.
Grant and Hans opened up their new SWING Arcus 5's and put them through their paces in hopeful preparation for their first solo high flights tomorrow.

Grant, Hans, and Doug spent a few hours in the (nearly completed!) Parahangar today after Charlie reported yet another snowstorm up in Duncan (will we ever get up Mt Prevost this spring?!) and then we headed down to Dallas for some east-wind kiting.

Not a common wind direction for ground handling, the conditions were a bit tricky and the boys handled their gliders quite well. Welcome to the VIP Crew Doug!

Post snowstorm sunshine

I've lived on Vancouver Island since '92 and, until the last few years, I've never experienced much snowfall during the winter months. The cherry blossoms usually come out in late February/early March and we brag to friends back east about how green the grass is. And then there was yesterday.
